Motto: If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you
"I have first-hand experience of how easy it is to stop being active, especially after leaving school.
As a teenager I was a keen footballer, playing and training at least three times a week until I injured my knee, twice! To stay involved in the game I became a coach, but I grew less confident in my ability to play and to exercise in general.
I left for University and studied Sports Science. Despite learning all about how brilliant exercise is for health and wellbeing; I didn't have the courage to try something new. It wasn't until my last year of Uni and some persuasion from a friend that I took the plunge, we went to Boxercise classes, and they were great! I started to become fitter, happier and healthier.
Since graduating I am trying to take on a variety of new challenges. I started climbing and I love it, every week I work a little harder and push myself further. I have also just started a new job, to encourage, facilitate and inspire college students to become more active. Hopefully we can inspire a new generation of females."
